Machine Installation and Commissioning

Yongtao Machinery provides professional machine installation guidance, commissioning support and operator training according to the selected equipment and project requirements.

The following information describes the general installation procedure. The final installation method, foundation requirements and utility connections should follow the technical documents provided for the specific machine model.

1. Inspect the Packaging and Machine Components

Before unloading the machine, carefully inspect the external packaging for visible damage, deformation or signs of impact.

After opening the packaging, check the main machine, conveyor or transmission frames, electrical control cabinet, accessories, tools and spare parts against the packing list.

If any damage or missing components are found, take clear photos and contact Yongtao Machinery before beginning installation.

Use suitable lifting equipment with sufficient load capacity. The machine should only be lifted from the designated lifting points, and personnel must not stand underneath a suspended load.

2. Prepare the Installation Area

The machine should be installed on a solid, level and load-bearing concrete foundation.

Before positioning the equipment, confirm that the installation area provides sufficient space for machine operation, maintenance, material loading and unloading.

The power supply, water supply, compressed-air connection, drainage system and wastewater treatment facilities should be prepared according to the technical requirements of the machine.

3. Position the Main Machine

Move the main machine carefully to the designated installation position according to the factory layout and installation drawing.

Avoid impact on guide rails, motors, sensors, cutting heads, polishing units, electrical components and protective covers during transportation and positioning.

Adjust the machine feet gradually and keep the machine stable. Do not fully tighten the anchor bolts until the complete machine and transmission frames have been properly aligned.

4. Install the Conveyor or Transmission Frames

Install the conveyor or transmission frame sections in the correct sequence according to the identification marks and installation drawing.

Connect each frame section securely to the main machine. Initially tighten the connecting bolts lightly so that the position can still be adjusted during alignment.

Check that all frame sections are installed in the correct direction and that the conveyor path remains straight.

5. Level and Align the Machine

Use a precision spirit level or laser-leveling instrument to check the main machine and transmission frames.

Adjust the leveling feet until the machine working surface, conveyor frame and belt surface are positioned at the same height and along the same centerline.

Correct leveling and alignment help ensure smooth material feeding, stable operation and consistent processing accuracy.

After the alignment has been confirmed, tighten the connecting bolts and anchor bolts. Recheck the level after tightening to make sure the machine position has not changed.

6. Connect the Power, Water and Compressed Air

Electrical connections must be completed by qualified personnel according to the machine wiring diagram and local electrical regulations.

Before connecting the power supply, confirm the required voltage, frequency, phase and grounding specifications.

Connect the water supply, compressed-air pipeline and drainage system according to the marked connection points. Make sure all hoses, pipes, valves and fittings are installed securely and do not leak.

Keep the electrical control cabinet and electrical components away from standing water and excessive moisture.

7. Prepare the Water Collection and Recycling System

For machines that use water during cutting, grinding or polishing, construct a suitable water-retaining curb or drainage channel around the processing area.

Wastewater should be directed to a settling tank or water recycling system to separate sludge, abrasive residue and processing waste.

The drainage system should prevent water from accumulating around the machine foundation, electrical cabinet and operator working area.

8. Check the Machine Before Commissioning

Before starting the machine, inspect the following items:

  1. All bolts and connecting parts are properly tightened.

  2. The machine and conveyor frames are level and correctly aligned.

  3. Electrical wiring and grounding are correctly connected.

  4. Water, air and drainage connections are secure.

  5. Lubrication points contain sufficient lubricant.

  6. Guards, covers and safety devices are correctly installed.

  7. Emergency-stop buttons and limit switches operate normally.

  8. No tools, packing materials or foreign objects remain inside the working area.

9. Perform No-Load and Processing Tests

Begin commissioning with a no-load test.

Check the movement direction of motors, conveyor belts, cutting units, polishing heads and other moving components. Listen for unusual noise and inspect the machine for vibration, leakage or abnormal movement.

After the no-load test has been completed successfully, use a sample or waste material for the first processing test.

Adjust the processing parameters, feeding speed, cutting position, tooling and water supply according to the material and required processing result.

Do not begin normal production until the machine has completed the commissioning test and all functions have been confirmed.

10. Operator Training and Technical Support

Yongtao Machinery can provide operator training as part of the installation and commissioning process.

Training may include:

  1. Machine startup and shutdown procedures

  2. Control system operation

  3. Processing parameter settings

  4. Tool and consumable replacement

  5. Material feeding and positioning

  6. Daily inspection and lubrication

  7. Routine cleaning and maintenance

  8. Basic troubleshooting

  9. Safe operating procedures

Installation guidance and technical support can be provided on-site or remotely according to the machine model, customer location and project requirements.

Important Installation Notice

The information above provides general installation guidance. Different machine models may have different requirements for foundations, lifting positions, electrical capacity, water supply, compressed air, drainage and installation space.
